Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains what data the game Rhythm Tap (on Facebook Instant Games, iOS, Android and the web) collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Rhythm Tap is published by Emedion, SARL with a share capital of €7,500, 10 C rue Joliot Curie, 33185 Le Haillan, France, RCS Bordeaux 519 626 212 (“we”). Emedion is the data controller. Contact: contact@emediongames.com.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| On Facebook: your app-scoped Instant Games player ID and your display name, received from Facebook when you play | Identify you on the leaderboard and keep your game balance and purchases across devices. Your name is shown to other players on the Facebook leaderboard. |
| On iOS, Android and the web: a random nickname (e.g. “Groovy4821”), which you can change, and a random session token | Show your scores on the leaderboard without asking for any personal account. |
| Scores, game duration and timestamps | Leaderboards (weekly and all-time) and cheat detection. |
| Game balance, rewarded videos watched per day, purchase records (payment ID, product, date) | Manage your number of games and credit each purchase exactly once. |
| IP address | Used briefly in memory to limit abuse (e.g. mass account creation). It is not stored in our database and our server access logs are disabled. |
We do not collect your email address, your friends list, your location or your payment card details, and we do not sell any data.
Data stored on your device
The game stores your best score, your settings, your remaining games and your session token in your browser or app storage (localStorage). It does not use advertising cookies.
Payments and ads
On Facebook, purchases are processed by Meta and rewarded videos are served by Meta. We only receive a signed confirmation (payment ID and product), never your card details. Meta processes your data under its own Privacy Policy. On iOS and Android, purchases and ads (if enabled) are handled by Apple, Google and their ad partners under their own policies, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
Legal basis
We process this data to provide the game you asked to play (performance of a contract) and, for cheat and abuse prevention, on the basis of our legitimate interest in fair leaderboards (GDPR art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Where and how long
Our server is hosted by IONOS in the European Union. We keep your player data for as long as you play. Data of a player inactive for 24 months is deleted. Purchase records may be kept longer when accounting law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@emediongames.com. See how to delete your data. You can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Children
Rhythm Tap is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and change the date at the top.
